The pinstripe plant is very aptly named, with it's stunning vivid green striped leaves, it is a real beauty. Its beautiful foliage is sure to draw the eye.

Calathea Vittata is not just easy on the eye, it is easy to care for too. It loves bright indirect light, but it will
tolerate a small amount of direct light making it ideal for lots of spots in the home or office.

We love its ability to close its leaves at night and open them again in the morning - a process known as nyctinasty - which is why it is often called a prayer plan. This adds to the impressiveness of this already amazing plant.

This houseplant is perfect in almost any room, perfect for the office, a study or living room. It needs a location where it will receive indirect light to mimic their natural environment on the forest floor beneath trees. They do not like continued direct sunlight. They also require a lot of moisture and love a compost blend that will retain moisture well. Having a pot that has drainage is vital too, left in standing water the plant roots will rot.

Calathea Vittata loves a warm temperature, a warm spot will really bring the best out of your plant. A warm spot between 18 and 24 degrees celsius is ideal, but it will withstand lower temperatures.
