The kentia palm (Howea forsteriana) is the classic indoor palm, loved for its elegant, arching fronds that bring a relaxed, tropical feel to any room. It's also one of the most tolerant palms, coping well with lower light levels than most.

Place it in bright, indirect light, and water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. Kentias are slow growing, so they'll look good in the same spot for years.
