Japanese Holly Ilex Crenata
Japanese holly (Ilex crenata) is a compact evergreen shrub with small, glossy, dark green leaves. It's increasingly popular as an alternative to box for low hedging, edging and topiary.
Plant in sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Clip in late spring or early summer to keep a neat shape.
Feed with an ericaceous plant food for healthy, glossy growth.
