Mexican feather grass (Stipa) is one of the softest ornamental grasses you can grow. Its fine, hair-like foliage and feathery flower heads sway beautifully with the slightest breeze, perfect for adding movement to borders, gravel gardens and containers.

Stipa loves full sun and well-drained soil, and it's very drought tolerant once established. Simply comb out dead growth with your fingers in spring.
