Meet the Alocasia amazonica 'Polly'

Alocasia amazonica ‘Polly’ is a cultivated hybrid, developed from Southeast Asian Alocasia species rather than found in the wild. Despite its name, it is not native to the Amazon, but was selectively bred for its dramatic arrow-shaped leaves, deep green colouring, and striking white veining. Compact yet bold, ‘Polly’ was created to bring the look of tropical rainforest foliage into the home, making it one of the most recognisable and popular Alocasia varieties in cultivation.

Growing & Care

Bright indirect light. Water when the top 2 inches of soil feels dry, using room temperature water. medium to high humidity. A balanced houseplant fertiliser. Left to grow, expect a spread of Up to 30-60cm cm wide and a height of Up to 30-60 cm tall with time.
