Sedum morganianum, commonly known as the Donkey Tail or Burro’s Tail, is a trailing succulent native to the rocky cliffs and dry forests of Mexico, particularly in the southern regions. This plant is known for its long cascading stems covered in plump, pale blue-green leaves that can sometimes develop soft pink tones in bright light. The leaves are coated in a natural powdery layer called epicuticular wax, which helps protect the plant from intense sun in its natural habitat. As it matures, the fleshy stems can grow up to around 3 feet long, allowing the plant to trail beautifully over shelves or from hanging planters, making it a popular ornamental succulent for indoor collections.
