Meet the Pilea peperomioides (Chinese Money Plant)

Pilea peperomioides, commonly known as the Chinese Money Plant, is a popular houseplant native to the Yunnan Province of China. It is best known for its perfectly round, coin-shaped green leaves that grow on long, slender stems, creating a clean and architectural look. In its natural habitat, it grows in shaded, rocky forest areas with cool, humid conditions. It produces small offshoots (“pups”) at its base, making it easy to propagate and share.
