Meet the Alocasia 'Lukiwan'

Alocasia ‘Lukiwan’ is a unique hybrid created in Malaysia by Wawan Santoso at Chong Lee Nursery. It was bred by crossing an Alocasia albo with an Alocasia sinuata, and the name ‘Lukiwan’ combines Wawan and his wife’s names. This less common variety is prized for its glossy, quilted-looking foliage. Like many Alocasias, older leaves may yellow and die as new, large leaves emerge, supporting vigorous growth.

Growing & Care

Bright indirect light. Water when the top 2 inches of soil feels dry, using room temperature water. medium to high humidity. A balanced houseplant fertiliser. Left to grow, expect a spread of Up to 30-150 cm wide and a height of Up 60-150 cm tall with time.

Every 1-2 years.
