Meet the Hemionitis arifolia (Heart Leaf Fern)

Hemionitis arifolia, commonly known as the Heart Leaf Fern, is a tropical fern native to parts of South East Asia. It is loved for its heart-shaped leaves, which sit on slender dark stems and give the plant a delicate, elegant look. In its natural habitat, it often grows as an epiphyte, meaning it anchors itself to trees rather than growing directly in soil, much like many orchids. Because it naturally enjoys warm, humid conditions and stays fairly compact, it is especially well suited to closed terrariums and other moisture-rich indoor environments.
