Calathea Makoyana Plant - Peacock Prayer Plant

Meet the Calathea makoyana (Peacock plant)

Goeppertia makoyana, commonly known as the Peacock Plant, is a tropical plant from the Marantaceae family, native to the rainforests of Brazil. Growing naturally in higher-altitude forests, it thrives in moderate temperatures and indirect light. Its large, ornate leaves are marked with intricate patterns of dark green and pale green, resembling the eye-spots of a peacock’s feathers. The foliage moves throughout the day, folding at night in typical prayer plant fashion, making it a striking and dynamic addition to any indoor plant collection.
