Disocactus anguliger, formerly known as Epiphyllum anguliger, is native to the humid rainforests of Mexico. This epiphytic cactus grows attached to other plants using its roots and is known for its long, flat, zig-zag stems — giving rise to the common name “Fishbone Cactus.” The Latin term anguliger means “angle bearing,” referencing the angled teeth-like stems. Upright when young, its stems trail gracefully as they lengthen, making it a striking choice for hanging baskets, and under the right conditions, it can also produce flowers.

Growing & Care
