Meet the Monstera adansonii 'Monkey Mask'

Monstera adansonii, commonly known as the Monkey Mask Plant, is a trailing and climbing tropical plant native to the rainforests of Central America and South America. A close relative of the more familiar Monstera deliciosa, it naturally grows by climbing tree trunks beneath the dense jungle canopy, using its aerial roots to anchor itself. Its distinctive fenestrated leaves, full of natural holes, help it cope with heavy tropical rain and filtered light. Indoors, it can be trained to climb a moss pole or left to trail freely from a hanging planter, where its vines will grow long and lush.

Growing & Care

Semi shady spot to bright indirect light. Water when the top 2 inches of soil feels dry, using room temperature water. medium to high humidity. A balanced houseplant fertiliser. Left to grow, expect a spread of Up to 90 cm wide and a height of Up 2.5m tall with time.

Every 2 -3 years.
