Meet the Nertera granadensis (Coral Bead Plant)

Nertera granadensis, commonly known as the Coral Bead Plant, is a low-growing perennial native to Central and South America, as well as parts of New Zealand and Australia. It forms a dense, creeping mat of tiny green leaves and is best known for its striking bright orange berries that appear in abundance when conditions are right. In its natural habitat, it grows as ground cover in cool, moist, and shaded environments, often spreading across forest floors and mossy areas.

Growing & Care

Semi shady spot to bright indirect light. Allow top inch of the soil to dry out between waters, using room temperature water. A balanced houseplant fertiliser. Left to grow, expect a spread of Up to 30 cm wide and a height of Up 10cm tall with time.

Repotting

Every 1 -2 years.
