Philodendron melanochrysum is a rare climbing aroid native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia. It is highly prized for its elongated, velvety leaves that mature into deep green to almost black tones with striking golden veining. New foliage often emerges in bronze or copper shades before darkening with age. In its natural habitat, it climbs trees beneath the forest canopy, thriving in warm, humid conditions with filtered light. .

Growing & Care

Semi shady spot to bright indirect light. Water when the top half of soil feels dry, using room temperature water. Medium humidity. A balanced houseplant fertiliser. Left to grow, expect a spread of Up to 1.2 m spread and a height of Up 1.8 m tall with time.
