Zamioculcas zamiifolia, commonly known as the ZZ Plant, is a hardy tropical plant native to eastern Africa. It is prized for its glossy, deep green foliage and upright, architectural growth habit. Adapted to survive periods of drought in its natural habitat, it stores water in thick underground rhizomes, allowing it to tolerate occasional neglect with ease. Its resilience, low-light tolerance, and elegant appearance have made it one of the most popular houseplants worldwide.

Growing & Care

Semi shady spot - can tolerate a dark corner. Water when soil is completely dry - drought tolerant. Can do well in average household conditions. A balanced houseplant fertiliser. Left to grow, expect a spread of Up to 90 cm wide and a height of 90 cm in height eventually.

Repotting

Every few years - like to be rootbound - only repot when almost breaking out the pot!
