Meet the Asplenium Antiquum 'Osaka' (Birds nest fern)

Asplenium antiquum ‘Osaka’ is a cultivated variety of the bird’s nest fern, prized for its broad, wavy-edged fronds and lush, architectural shape. The species Asplenium antiquum is native to East Asia, particularly Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and parts of eastern Asia, where it grows in warm, humid forests, often as an epiphyte on trees or nestled among rocks. The ‘Osaka’ cultivar has been selected for its especially ruffled foliage and compact, ornamental form, making it a popular choice as an indoor plant.
