Ctenanthe burle-marxii ‘Amagris’ is a cultivated variety of the Fishbone Prayer Plant, admired for its silvery-green leaves patterned with darker veining and rich purple undersides. The species is native to the tropical forests of south-east Brazil, where it grows in warm, humid understories. ‘Amagris’ first appeared in cultivation in Belgium as a naturally occurring sport, selected for its paler, more refined foliage colouring. It belongs to the Marantaceae family, a group celebrated for their striking leaf patterns and rhythmic leaf movements.

Growing & Care
